About Me

Welcome to my world of education and innovation! I'm Tracy Hewitt, a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience working with children and students and program leadership.

My educational philosophy centers on putting students first and constantly seeking innovative ways to reach them, ensuring that all their unique needs are met. My unwavering goal is to find pathways to inspire and educate all students, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities. I've discovered that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is a powerful tool to achieve this mission.

I'm deeply passionate about incorporating hands-on activities and fostering critical thinking in my teaching. It's my belief that these methods not only make learning fun but also empower students to explore their full potential.

Beyond STEM, my professional interests encompass culturally responsive teaching, making education accessible to underserved student populations, and social-emotional learning as a way to support youth. I'm committed to creating a well-rounded and inclusive educational experience for every student.

I serve as the STEM Program Leader at the Millhill Child and Family Development Center in the Youth Engagement Department. Here, I lead the STEM Explorers Program, a dynamic initiative designed to inspire and educate middle schoolers in Trenton, New Jersey. I am currently based in Philadelphia, PA.
